Princess Diana’s `fairy-tale` dress set to fetch 80,000 pounds at auction
Melbourne – Princess Diana’s “most ornate and romantic” ball gown is all set to go under the hammer and is expected to fetch around 80,000 pounds.
The shimmery frock, which was designed by the Princess of Wales’ wedding dress designers – Emanuels, has gold sequins, crystals and pearl beads, News.com.au reported.
The dress is paired up with a matching headband, optional sleeve panels and petticoat.
Kerry Taylor Auction House explained that the ball gown has a “pretty, fairy-tale princess feel to it” and “fitted Diana perfectly”.
The dress, which the late princess saw at a Red Cross benefit fashion show in 1986, was worn by her on many occasions.
