New Delhi – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said it does not matter to the people of India as to who becomes the Prime Minister as people are fed up of corruption and price rise.

It is widely believed that 2014 Lok Sabha elections will be a direct fight between BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

“It does not matter whether Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister. People are fed up with corruption and price rise,” Kejriwal told reporters in Delhi.

“They (BJP and Congress) only discuss who will become the Prime Minister. Cylinder prices have been hiked. How will the common man afford this? They don’t discuss these issues,” he said.

However, his aide and senior party leader Prashant Bhushan slammed both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Reacting to Manmohan Singh’s press conference, Bhushan said: “I don’t think history is going to be kind with this Prime Minister who has allowed every kind of corruption to not only continue but to proliferate during his government.”

He also clarified that he would retire from active politcs after 2014 Lok Sabha elections and said he won’t be the the Prime Minister in UPA-3 government if it gets people support in 2014 elections. It is widely believed that 2014 Lok Sabha elections will be a direct fight between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi.

“I agree with him on one thing that Narendra Modi will be extremely dangerous for this country. Apart from being communal and a fascist, Modi has shown that he is equally corrupt as the Congress and some other major parties,” he added.
