Jakarta -  The number of Chinese tourists to Indonesia will increase to one million by 2014, more than double the figure in 2010, a minister said Friday.

Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Mari Elka Pangestu said Indonesia will boost connectivity with China, which was partly expected to help reach the target.

The number of tourists from China coming into Indonesia reached 469,365 people in 2010.

"Our target is one million tourists from China by 2014. It can be reached by intensifying direct flights to China," Xinhua quoted her as saying.
