New Delhi - Automobile major Tata Motors Friday reported an increase of 12 percent in its global sales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover brands, in May at 96,089 units.
Passenger vehicles sales grew by 21 percent in May at 51,064 units.
"Sales of Jaguar Land Rover in May 2012 were at 30,094 vehicles, higher by 35 percent over May 2011, driven by the Range Rover Evoque and the 12MY Jaguar product,".
On a stand-alone basis Jaguar sales for the month under review increased by three percent at 4,342. While that of Land Rover zoomed by 42 percent at 25,752 units.
Commercial vehicles sales including that of Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range grew by three percent at 45,025 units.
