New Delhi - Cairn India, Asia’s fastest growing E and P company and India’s leading upstream oil and gas company has won CMO Asia Award for ‘best practices in corporate social responsibility’, for the second consecutive year at a ceremony in Singapore.
The CMO Asia is dedicated to high-level knowledge Exchange through leadership and networking amongst senior CMOs and brand decision makers across industry segments.
The award is in recognition to Cairn India’s sustained efforts towards empowering the local communities and providing sustainable development solutions across its operational areas in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Sri Lanka.
Cairn India contributes to more than 25 percent of India's domestic production, works with a structured CSR programmes around 3Rs of respect, relationships and responsibility, under the thematic focus areas of economic development, education, health and infrastructure development.
Cairn India is primarily engaged in the business of oil and gas exploration, production and transportation.
The average daily gross operated production was 206, 963 boe in Q1 FY2012-13.
The company sells its oil to major refineries in India and its gas to both PSU and private buyers. The company has a world-class resource base, with interest in eight blocks in India and one in Sri Lanka.
Cairn India’s resource base is located in three strategically focused areas namely one block in Rajasthan, two on the west coast of India and six on the east coast of India, including one in Sri Lanka.
