Washington - The 1994 model of the Honda Accord has topped the list of the 'most-stolen vehicle' for the fourth year in a row, making it a 'hot' item among thieves.
According to a report released by the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), while Connecticut car crooks went for the 1997 Accord, New Jersey thieves favored the 1994 Accord, which was found as the most frequently stolen car in the United States in 2011 for the fourth straight year.
"They're very popular, and with many of the older ones still in service today, the fact that they're such a target for thieves is almost like a back-handed compliment to their quality," the New York Daily News quoted a NICB spokesman, as saying.
The report claimed that the Honda cars were also the top target for thieves across the tri-state area in the United States and nation-wide as well.
The survey revealed that in the second place was the 1998 Honda Civic, making it seven years in a row that automobile giant Honda took the first two spots on the NICB's list, the report said.
