Washington - USA Today is planning to re-launch its newspaper, website and mobile platforms completely with a new ‘USA TODAY’ logo.
The redesigned USA Today newspaper is tentatively scheduled to debut on September 14, the day after the company celebrates the 30th anniversary of the company.
According to the Politico, the redesign is the first substantive reinvention of the USA Today brand in the paper’s 30-year history.
USA Today’s emphasis on succinct reports, colorful graphics, and front-page advertising was initially criticized by the industry when the paper launched on September 15, 1982, but soon became an industry standard.
USA Today is currently the most widely distributed paper in the United States, the report said.
Larry Kramer, who was named president and publisher of USA Today earlier this year, did not respond to a request for comment regarding the redesign, which has been in the works since before he took the position, the report added.
