Dhaka, March 14 (IANS) Bangladesh is seeking an interim arrangement with India on sharing of Teesta river waters until the two neighbours can strike a long-term agreement.
The next round of talks by the Joint Rivers Commission (JRC) will be headed by ministers and is due to be held Wednesday in New Delhi.
Bangladesh Water Resources Minister Ramesh Chandra Sen told New Age newspaper: "We are expecting an interim agreement for sharing Teesta waters during the upcoming talks."
