New Delhi - President Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the 20th edition of the International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF) here on Friday.
The fair will be held from February 15 to 17 at Pragati Maidan.
“Republic of Korea is “Partner Country†and is showcasing Technology Prowess with over 70 companies. People Republic of China is “Focus Countryâ€. IETF this year has over 350 exhibitors from 20 Countries, 28 Sectoral seminars/ conferences/ Round tablesâ€- said Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII.
The fair comes at the appropriate time as the world is beginning to emerge from the second round of impact of global economic crisis, observed Mr Banerjee.
The Biennial flagship event of CII, which took off way back in 1975, has been a gateway for global markets to look at India either for investment or trade relations.
The show has been portrayed as a platform for buyer seller meets, conferences and seminars, business networking technology assessment, strategic partnership, and vendor development for the global business community.
IETF is extremely relevant to the economic future of our nation, which has entered the big league.
This edition harnesses the power of inter sectoral synergies with 10 focus business fairs namely: IETF Global, Energy & Environment, Metals and Metallurgy, Inclusive, Integrated Solid Waste Management, Water, Industrial Maintenance Expo, AutoMach, Logistics, Office Automation & Reality covering a gross of 45000 sq mtrs said the CII release.
