Islamabad -  The world's fastest bowler in his heyday, Shoaib Akhtar, is planning a major comeback to the international cricketing world, sources have confirmed.

According to The Nation, Akhtar has signed of a deal with a major multinational brand and is currently busy shooting their advertisements.

Last year, Akhtar had announced his retirement from international cricket during World Cup 2011 and has avoided the spotlight ever since.

There were rumours earlier that he had signed a contract with a private TV channel a few months back, but nothing materialized out of it. Sources have confirmed that this time around it is for real and the star pacer is planning a major comeback.
