Deepika Padukone beats Katrina Kaif to be Rajnikanth’s new heroine

New Delhi - Deepika Padukone has reportedly been signed as Rajnikanth’s new heroine in his daughter’s upcoming Tamil movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’.

The buzz recently doing the rounds was that Katrina Kaif, who was also keen on doing Soundarya’s film, was offered Rs.5 crore for the role.

However, the 26-year-old actress has confirmed her alliance with the new venture.

“I am eagerly looking forward to work with Rajni sir. It’s exciting news,” she said.
