Salma Hayek sports ‘milk moustache’ in new campaign adLondon -  Salma Hayek is seen with a “milk moustache” in her first advert for her “got milk” campaign in the US.

The 45-year-old actress poses with the dairy residue on her top lip, while an actress, intentionally around the same age as Hayek’s four-year-old daughter, Valentina, holds a bowl to her face.

According to the New York Times, the bilingual star will also serve as the spokesperson for a new campaign.

The Milk Processor Education Program, which funds the National Milk Moustache “got milk?” campaign, announced its newest promotion, The Breakfast Project, on Friday.

The main focus of the multimedia initiative was to promote the health benefits of drinking milk and encourage people to drink a glass in the morning.

With many people missing breakfast in the morning, The Breakfast Project strived to make sure that people took notice and fuel themselves with a healthy feed.

“There’s lots of people who think breakfast is important, but lots of people who skip breakfast or don’t eat it regularly,” the Daily Mail quoted chief executive Vivien Godfrey as telling the  Times.

“Anything we can do to remind people how to better serve food at home really helps the retailer,” Tina Manikas, the executive vice president for global retail and promotions officer at  DraftFCB, an ad agency added.

Retailers can use the tagline “It’s not breakfast without milk” in their marketing materials and can offer coupons for free milk if they buy three breakfast food items that the retailer has  chosen.
