Harrison Ford lists California mansion for $8.3m

London -  Harrison Ford is looking to walk off with plenty of treasure after putting his mansion in Brentwood, California on the market for 8.295 million dollars.

It has been the home of the 69-year-old actor since the early 1980s during his stint as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

If the ‘Star Wars’ favourite gets the asking price he will have made a massive profit on the 1 million dollars investment he made back in 1983.

When he bought the seven bedroom, eight bathroom property he was still married to his second wife Melissa Mathison, whom he divorced in 2004.

He currently lives on the estate with his Ally McBeal star wife Calista Flockhart and their nine-year-old son Liam.

However it appears the couple wanted a change in scenery, and they are reportedly headed to a home nearby in Mandeville Canyon.

The New England Traditional estate was built by Gerard Colcord, a popular Southern California architect famous for designing homes for the likes of Norton Simon and Henry Fonda.

Harrison's one-time dream home is set back from the street and up a long private drive, offering the A-list star plenty of privacy.

Over the years the nature loving actor is sure to enjoyed looking out over the property's breathtaking ocean and city views.

“This gated traditional estate offers unparalleled privacy, wonderful authenticity, sprawling grounds, rolling lawns, gorgeous gardens and commanding city and ocean views,” the Daily Mail quoted home estate agent David Offer as saying.

There are four private bedroom suites in the main house, a library, a specious living room, and an all wood panelled formal dining room with signature Colcord walk-in fireplace and secret bar.

It also has a beautiful country kitchen, family room, and even has a poolside guesthouse plus two additional separate guest suites.
