Alec Baldwin slams alleged stalker on Twitter

Washington -  Alec Baldwin has taken to twitter to lash out at his alleged stalker, Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin.

The 40-year-old actress appeared in a New York court on Monday, has been accused of stalking and aggravated harassment of the ‘30 Rock’ actor after he reported her to police,  but  Baldwin criticised her for smiling as she was led away in handcuffs.

“Isn’t it odd when an accused stalker is in handcuffs, being taken away by the cops, yet smiles for the cameras?’’ Contactmusic quoted him as writing on twitter.

According to prosecutors, the 54-year-old had dinner with the accused in 2010 as a ‘‘favour to a friend’’, but later had to change his phone number because she was bombarding him with text  messages and emails.

It is claimed that Sabourin - who first met Alec on the set of ‘The Adventures of Pluto Nash’ in 2000 - had to be removed from the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts where Alec was  hosting a screening of ‘Last Tango In Paris’ on April 5, and that she also turned up unannounced at his home on New York’s Long Island on March 31, and his address in New York City.

The ‘Cooler’ actor also wrote a message to his fiancee, 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, praising her for her support.

“I am lucky and grateful in my life now, no matter what the motivations of certain others. @hilariathomas (sic),” he tweeted.

Hilaria replied: “Its a 2way st, amor” and also tweeted:”This woman has taken up enough of our time & energy. Now we have to trust the judicial system that they will protect us (sic).”

Sabourin has been ordered to have ‘‘no contact whatsoever’’ with Baldwin and is due back in court on May 14.
