Shahid Kapoor and Piggy Chops to co-star again in ‘Teri Meri Kahani’

New Delhi - Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, who wowed the audience with their crackling chemistry in ‘Kameeney’, will now be seen starring together in ‘Teri Meri Kahani’.

The lead couple along with the director of the upcoming romcom, Kunal Kohli, recently unveiled the first look of the flick in Mumbai.

The film is set across three different time periods – 1910, 1960, and 2012.

“We have chosen hundred years to show the meaning of love. I think it is a young, fun, quircky love story. Love is there to bring smile of every face,” Shahid Kapoor said.

The romcom is being compared to Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Dangerous Ishq’, which is based on reincarnation.

However, Kohli denied the allegations outright.

“The film is about soulmates. We have not used the word reincarnation anywhere. It is very different from what Vikram is making in ‘Dangerous Ishq,” Kohli said.

The lead actors will be seen playing three completely different characters each in every time period.

“I think the easiest would have been 2012 for me because it is very contemporary and today. But yet it was difficult because it is very conversational and very natural. But in the other two periods which are

1960 and 1910, I enjoyed a lot because I play completely different characters,” Priyanka said.

While the film has been produced by Sunil Lulla, Vicky Bahri and Kunal Kohli, it has been extensively shot in India and London, and the music has been composed by the music director duo Sajid-Wajid.

It is scheduled for release on the 22nd of July.
