Ryan Phillippe ready for directorial debut

Washington - Actor Ryan Phillippe is all set to step behind the camera to make his directorial debut with a film he scripted himself.

According Variety, the talented â€˜Crashâ€™ actor will also star in the indie thriller â€˜Shreveportâ€™, Contactmusic reported.

The film is about a struggling actor's bid for freedom after he is abducted from a movie set, held hostage and tortured.

Phillippe has penned the script in collaboration with first-time writer Joe Gossett.
