London - David Hasselhoff has ruled out reprising his original role as Mitch Buchannon in ‘Baywatch’, and insists that he will be appearing as himself in a forthcoming movie based on the hit TV series.
“I’ve just met the guy writing the film. I’m going to play myself,’’ the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
The original show about a group of LA lifeguards was a worldwide hit from the time it was first aired in 1989.
Now the movie, which is in development with Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman, is also rumored to have Pamela Anderson and Justin Timberlake starring in it.
“We’re trying to make it a very cool, updated version,’’ the former Britain’s Got Talent judge added.
