London - Former sex addict Russell Brand has said that he has received forgiveness for his old ways from the Dalai Lama.
The comedian recently met the spiritual guru when he introduced him on stage at a seminar in Manchester last month.
Brand, who practices yoga and meditation, also admitted talking to him about being labelled as Britain’s biggest shagger.
During an interview to promote his TV show Brand X, he spoke about his encounter with the Tibetan leader.
“I didn’t talk to him about sex. I just told him it was weird because in England I had won all those awards as ‘Shagger of the Year’ three times,†the Sun quoted him as saying.
“I just said it was weird to be introducing the Dalai Lama, the holiest man on the planet, when I use to be known as ‘Shagger of the Year!’
“The Dalai Lama is a very forgiving man. He forgave me,†he added.
