Los Angeles - Actor Jimmy Kimmel has got engaged to Molly McNearney, a co-head writer for his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live".

Kimmel, who previously dated Sarah Silverman, proposed to McNearney during a romantic getaway to South Africaâ€™s Kruger National Park, reports showbizspy.com.

While this is the first marriage for McNearney, it is second for Kimmel, 44, earlier married to Gina.

He has two kids her, 21-year-old Katie and Kevin, 19. The marriage ended in 2002.
