Kate’s topless pics taken by Brit living in France

London - The snapper of the controversial Kate Middleton’s topless pictures was a Brit, who was spying on the chateau on the orders of France magazine Closer, a top French paparazzo has revealed.

Famed lensman Pascal Rostain - a close friend of former French First Lady Carla Bruni, claimed that the photographer resides in the south of France.

“The irony of this whole thing is that the photographer is an Englishman living in the south of France,” the Sun quoted Rostain, a Frenchman in his 40s, as telling the France Metro newspaper in Lyon.

“These photos were taken on the orders of Closer, who asked him to sit around for several days to take them, and for his efforts he did not earn a lot. He was just paid wages for going to take them,” he added The cops are trying to find out the photographer, and are likely to question the staff at the 15-million-pound Chateau d’Autet in Provence — owned by the Queen’s nephew Viscount Linley where they were staying.

According to sources, the detectives are trying to fathom out as to how the photographer knew the exact location to take obtrusive shots, and the cops will also examine the spot where the pictures were taken more than half a mile from the retreat to look for clues or DNA traces left behind.
“Officially the crime scene is the chateau and its environs.

This will be visited by detectives who will then have to work out how the photographer came to be there — who alerted him to the presence of the royal couple and where he took the pictures from,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

 â€œThis kind of investigation involves interviewing as many potential witnesses as possible,” the source added. On the other hand, Closer editor Laurence Pieau has already boasted that she has other “more intimate” snaps, which shows Kate changing her bikini bottom.
