There is no marriage coming, says Cheryl Cole’s future mother-in-law

London - Cheryl Cole’s future mother-in-law, Shirley Holloway, is happy to hold off with the hat shopping for now because she thinks her son Tre is not ready to settle down.

However, Shirley isn’t bothered that she won’t be hearing wedding bells in the near future because the singer has gone down so well with the family.

“Everyone may be desperate for them to get married but as soon as he’s even thinking about it, I will know - and I know he isn’t,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

“Tre loves her but he isn’t about to rush things and propose. There is no marriage coming. Tre hasn’t called her dad and asked permission to propose. They are happy how they are” she said.

Last week it was claimed the dancer had popped the question to the Girls Aloud star just six months after the couple started dating, but Cheryl - who only divorced Ashley Cole in 2010 - quickly denied that she was about to get hitched again.

“I’ve met Cheryl and liked her. She’s been through a lot but she is a really lovely person. Cheryl would make a great daughter-in-law but it’s not happening any time soon,” Shirley added.
