Katy Perry and John Mayer `split again`

London - Buzz has it that Katy Perry and John Mayer have split up again for the third time after sparking engagement rumors last month.

And it certainly looks that way as the â€˜Fireworksâ€™ starâ€™s posted an odd tweet on Monday- â€˜ATTENTION: Mercury is OUT of retrograde today. Thank GOD.â€™

A source told UsMagazine.com that "It's sad. It's not over until it's over. You have to see how things play out," about the on-again-off-again couple, the Mirror reported.

The duo first split last August after just a couple of weeks together, but decided to give things another go.

They broke up again briefly in October before reconciling, and they seemed to be stronger than ever, after 35-year-old Mayer presented Perry with a heart-shaped ruby ring for Valentine's Day.
