Imtiaz Ali to act in Sushil Rajpal's 'Old Monk'

New Delhi (IANS)- Director Imtiaz Ali couldn't act in Sushil Rajpal's "Antardwand" but is all set to work in his next film "Old Monk".

"Old Monk" moves between Mumbai and Bihar and will show the smart and suave Imtiaz in a new light.

Rajpal had first approached Imtiaz for the lead role for "Antardwand", based on a true story of groom kidnapping in Bihar, but he couldn't accept the offer as he was busy with his directorial venture, said a press statement.

Imtiaz made it up by going out of his way to cast the lead for "Antardwand" and even promoted the National Award winning film in a unique way - he dressed as a groom for the promotion of the film.
