London - Bolton Wanderers captain Nigel Reo-Coker, who is also a good deadeye clay pigeon shooter, is hoping to see off Tottenham Spurs' challenge in the FA Cup quarterfinals at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Reo-Coker, owner of two licensed guns, said he thinks his reaction levels are quite good, and that is one of the major reasons behind him doing well in football as well as shooting.
"I own two guns, hold a licence, enjoy shooting and am a pretty good shot. I shoot clay pigeons," The Sun quoted Reo-Coker, as saying.
"I visit a club where they simulate rabbits and birds with clay discs coming out of the trees and stuff. You get taught how to hone your skills," he said.
"The instructor says I'm good and wasn't surprised as good reaction levels are needed both in football and shooting. But, at my shooting school, they teach me a few tricks how to be better," he added.
While Reo-Coker is pretty handy with a gun, there is one player he faces on Saturday, and someone who is not afraid of looking down the barrel i.e. England captain Scott Parker.
He is also wary of the threat Spurs' midfield would provide to his team during their quarterfinals encounter.
Reo-Cocker said: "Scott is exactly the same every time you come up against him. One thing I respect is he always wears his heart on the sleeve, gives 100 per cent and thoroughly deserves
what he's achieved in the game.
"Scott does the defensive midfield role well and then you've got creative players like Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon and Emmanuel Adebayor who get forward," he said.
