Al Ain Dairy Celebrates 30th Anniversary Milestone with string of awards for Product Innovation and Announces Further Investment Plans

Al Ain Dairy, the largest dairy and juice producer and one of the UAE’s leading brands reaches a significant milestone with their 30th Anniversary year in 2011. Along with a string of awards for new product innovation and an ambitious plan for growth.

30 years ago Al Ain Dairy was established under the directive of the late H. H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nayhan with a vision to help the UAE become sustainable in its own dairy production. Since then, Al Ain  Dairy has led the way in the production of innovative and diversified dairy and fruit juice products to become the largest dairy producer in the UAE and one of its leading brands.

As a local supplier in a competitive market Al Ain Dairy holds its own respectively as a brand that has evolved to become a household name that is synonymous with trust and quality. They have worked consistently over the last 30 years to build an exceptional reputation and to become close it its  customers.

It’s a far cry from their humble beginnings when Al Ain Dairy started in 1981 with just 200 livestock. Today Al Ain Dairy boasts well over 5,000 cows and 2,500 camels with further plans to extend their livestock count substantially in the coming year. Having consistently invested in technology to  guarantee safety standards and production security they are now preparing to unveil their latest technological advancement - the very latest in camel milking automation that will triple their output and ensure their stake in the rising global market for camel milk.

Through the years and more so recently, the brand has seen exponential growth with a sharp increase in demand for its products not just locally but internationally and as a result now contemplates the lucrative export market. Key to their impressive growth has been their ability to keep pace with
 changing consumer tastes, rolling out both new variants of flavored milk drinks as well as yoghurts with some firm favorites as well as completely new to market flavors. The seal of approval came following a successful launch of its latest milk variants Date and Cardamom Milk flavors, with the company recipient  of the prestigious Trends & Innovations Award during this Year’s SIAL exhibition in Abu Dhabi.

We have led the dairy industry in the UAE for the last three decades and celebrate consistent achievement and growth in our milestone year. We will shortly be announcing yet more new product innovations - some completely new product  such as an exciting range of camel milk ice creams which we are delighted to be bringing to market and which we are confident our customers will really enjoy. As we go forward we also eye further growth from potential new markets and are ready to meet the challenge that will propel production and supply  chain to the next level. Al Ain Dairy remains steadfast in its vision to be the preferred choice for dairy and juice products in the Emirates and is poised for significant growth in the coming year. They will also leverage on the global  increase in demand for camel milk and plan to tackle this head on with a number of new initiatives that will also see the company reinforce its expert credentials in this field. The company will take an aggressive approach to marketing and branding in the coming year and focus fully on further  advancements in the area of new product development as well as making improvements in supply chain.

CEO Mr Abdullah Saif Al Darmaki Said “ We focus our efforts on providing our customers with an even greater choice of dairy and juice products that meet the highest national and international quality standards. As we move forward to the end of this our very special year, we look back on our many  achievement’s as we again position ourselves for further growth. We have invested 2.8 Million USD on our new camel milking parlour, a further 150 Million USD will be invested in the new cow farm and we start 100 Million AED expansion of our plant and factory in the New Year that will see us double our  output. 2012 will see an increase in production volumes across our entire product portfolio which is in
keeping with demand and in line with our objectives. We plan to introduce further new and exciting products that meet the demands of the growing consumer market. ”

Al Ain Dairy also wishes to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability issues and have their sights firmly set on attaining their own “green credentials” next year and plan to initiate some rather ambitious initiatives in a future that does indeed look very bright for Al Ain Dairy.
