Dubai airport foils bid to smuggle drugs

Dubai - Authorities at the Dubai International Airport have foiled a bid to smuggle drugs.

The haul, containing about 276,400 pills of the prohibited Tramadol drug, was seized by the Dubai customs.

Omar Al Mehairy, senior manager of Air Cargo Operations, said the contraband was detected during an x-ray examination of the consignment.
