SHANGHAI  - A Chinese man claims to have lived on water alone for the past 12 years after picking up the habit when he was a 10-year-old child, femalesfirst.co.uk reported.

Ning Xuefa, 22, from Henan Province, says he doesn’t ever eat food and only ever drinks water after picking up the habit while he was a 10-year-old child. He said: “As a student, I would always attend school with a huge bottle of water, but I wouldn’t ever touch food.’’

Ning dropped out of school when he was 14 and attempted to work as a labourer but his weak body kept failing him. He told Chinese media that looking at bread or vegetables on the dinner table made him feel nauseous and he was constantly suffering from a dry throat
