Islamabad - Hundreds of thousands of people paid homage to acred Buddhist relics from Pakistan during a 17-day exposition in Sri anka, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The relics were sent by Pakistan on the request of Sri Lankan President ahinda Rajapaksa. They were taken back to Pakistan Monday.
The collection included relics of Lord Buddha, Kanishka relic casket from hah-Ji-Ki-Deheri, a stone reliquary in Stupa shape and a golden casket.
The relics were open to public in Colombo and Hambantota among other places n Sri Lanka, a Buddhist-majority country.
