Jakarta -  Four Russians serving on a Captain  Kurbatsky ship died Thursday of poisoning after drinking bootleg alcohol in Indonesian port city of Banjarmasin, Indonesian MetroTV channel reported.

According to the TV channel, another three Russians were hospitalised  following a shipboard party when 30 crew members mixed bootleg Chinese  alcohol with other drinks. One of the crew members died on the spot.

The police are investigating, the report said, but a spokesman for the  Russian embassy in Jakarta said it had no information about the incident.

Authorities in South Kalimantan province are awaiting the results of the  autopsies, MetroTV channel said.

In late May, a similar accident occurred in Turkey when four Russian  tourists died and some 20 were hospitalised with severe alcohol poisoning in  Bodrum after they return from a boat tour organised by a local company.
