Three killed in China hospital blast

Beijing -  At least three people were killed and 17 were injured when a blast ripped through a boiler room in a hospital in China, officials said.

The incident took place in the northern city of Changzhi, Xinhua reported.

One person was killed on the spot when a boiler exploded at the Chengqu Hospital in Changzhi in Shanxi province. Two others died while being rushed to the emergency room, the city administration said in a statement.

Half of the boiler room was destroyed in the blast.
