US, India hold dialogue on Asia-Pacific region

Washington - India and the US discussed a wide range of regional and global issues including preparations for the upcoming East Asia Summit at their fourth regional strategic dialogue on the Asia-Pacific region.

They also discussed preparations for the proposed US-Japan-India trilateral meeting at the dialogue in Washington Monday and committed to continue the exchange regularly in the future, the State Department said.

The discussion was led by India's Joint Secretary (East Asia) Gautam Bambawale, and US East Asian and Pacific Affairs Assistant Secretary Kurt Campbell.
