Islamabad - At least three people were killed and eight others injured Monday in a suicide blast in Pakistan's Peshawar city, media reports said.

Citing Urdu TV channel Dunya, Xinhua said the blast hit a police check-post.

However, Geo News said the explosion took place in Pakha Ghulam area at an under-construction house belonging to the leader of banned organisation Ansar-ul-Islam.

Two children were among the injured.
