London - At least two movie-goers experienced adverse reactions to graphic scenes in a horror movie screened at the Sundance festival in the US and had to be treated by paramedics.

One man, while watching a midnight screening of the movie "V/H/S", collapsed and began to suffer seizures. His girlfriend also began to vomit a little while later, the Daily Mail reported.

The movie was so terrifying that ambulances were called to the screening in Park City in Utah state, producer Roxanne Benjamin wrote on Twitter.

Co-writer Simon Barrett said the scenes included graphic injuries to a person.

The film follows a group of criminals tasked with finding a VHS tape in a rundown house. The homemade VHS tapes contain some supernatural moments, the daily said.
