Islamabad - At least 13 people were killed and several others were injured when a U.S. drone launched three strikes in Orakzai region in Pakistan’s tribal area.

US President Barack Obama had earlier confirmed that the drone strikes, which were earlier stalled after the deadly November 26 NATO airstrike, have resumed in Pakistan, Xinhua reports.

Meanwhile, Amnesty International has called on the US to disclose details of the legal and factual basis for carrying out the drone strikes.

The US carries out drone strikes to target terrorists in Pakistan’s tribal areas.
