A 17 Afghan militants captured

Kabul -  Seventeen Taliban militants were captured in Afghanistan and large quantities of explosives and drugs were seized from them by the Afghan and NATO-led forces, the interior ministry said Thursday.

The 17 were captured in the provinces of Kandahar, Zabul, Laghman and Ghazni over the past 24 hours till Thursday evening.

Six AK-47 rifles, four pistols, 195 kg of explosives, three grenades, over 45,600 kg of hashish, one motorcycle and another vehicle were seized, Xinhua reported.
