Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatars Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the grassroots level.
I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics, Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Nudists demand Welsh beach near William and Kate’s home

London -  A beach near the Welsh home of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is the subject of calls to make it an official nudist site for those who want to enjoy sand and sea altogether. Newborough beach on the west coast of Anglesey has fascinated naturists over the years, but British Naturism claims official status would make a huge difference and profit local tourism.

The beach comprises Llanddwyn Island, named after the patron saint of Welsh lovers.

On Wednesday, local councillor Peter Rogers said he would prefer the beach not to be used by naturists.

“It would be better either for them to be banned or, if they are going to be there anyway, for there to be proper regulation,” the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

“In other words either stop it or have a properly controlled part of the beach for them, which might benefit the local economy. It’s not the nudists who are really the problem but the people  who go and watch them from the trees.”

“I don’t see any problem if it is kept under control. This is a beautiful area and we want people to enjoy it. But it’s for everybody, not just for people who want to take their clothes off,” Phil  Penson, 57, landlord of the Joiner’s Arms at neighbouring Malltraeth said.

“We support this call although we don’t need official designation. It takes away the hassle factor because a lot of people see naturism as illegal. Naturism isn’t against the law, you can’t

legislate about what someone wears. If it were designated it would increase tourism in the area,” British Naturism commercial manager Andrew Welch said.
