Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Duchess Kate to give Prince William her portrait as birthday gift

London - The Duchess of Cambridge is set to present Prince William with her first royal portrait as a gift on his 30th birthday in June.
The 30 year-old has made four secret visits to Welsh born artist Nicky Philipps’ South Kensington studio while hubby William was on a tour of duty in The Falklands.
The painting is said to have cost 25,000 pounds and has been paid for by the Prince of Wales.
It is likely to be a birthday gift for Prince William to be presented on his birthday.
Earlier this year, when discussing a potential portrait, Philipps had stated that she wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to paint the Duchess in a million years, continuing that “beautiful people  are always more difficult.”
“With symmetrical faces, there’s nothing to hang the portrait on. It’s very unlikely that you’ll ever do them enough justice,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
Philipps has previously been commissioned to paint Princes William and Harry and her double portrait of the royal duo is currently on show in London's National Portrait Gallery.
The two princes are dressed in the uniform of Household Cavalry regiment Blues and Royals and are set against a backdrop of Clarence House.
In a break with royal protocol, Duchess Kate failed to pose for an official wedding portrait, however, it is likely that her first official portrait is now also on the cards.
