Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatar’s Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the “grassroots” level.
“I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics,” Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Islamabad -  BlackBerry service provider Research in Motion (RIM) has said that it has no record of messages exchanged between former Pakistan envoy to US Husain Haqqani and  American businessman Mansoor Ijaz.

RIM stated this in response to Haqqani's request to reveal messages of the period during which he was allegedly in contact with Ijaz.

He had sought from the company the record of May to October last year on the directives of the memo investigation commission, The Daily Times reports.

RIM, however, said in a statement that 'the time periods are beyond the data retention period for the services offered by the company'.
