Here's the 'Inspirational' memo that 'greets workers on first day at Apple'

Sydney - A user of photography-based social network Instagram has now posted a secret 'inspirational' memo given to Apple employees on their first day of work.

The memo was revealed by a user known as "M", who claims it is what "greets you on your first day at Apple".

"There's work and there's your life's work. The kind of work that has your fingerprints all over it. The kind of work that you'd never compromise on. That you'd sacrifice a weekend for. You can do that kind of work at Apple," the memo says.

"People don't come here to play it safe. They come here to swim in the deep end. They want their work to add up to something. Something big. Something that couldn't happen anywhere else," it added.

The memo ends with the tech giant's iconic logo and the words, "Welcome to Apple."

According to The Herald Sun, the alleged Apple memo has been criticised by some web users.

"Is this year's version of a phone or MP3 player really 'work that adds up to something'...?" a commenter called Virt told Gizmodo said.

"Sure, a job at Apple could be cool. But let's keep a teensy bit of perspective. They're not solving world hunger," the commenter added.

Another commenter said Apple's alleged memo conveyed something 'more sinister'.

"What I'm reading is: "We know who you are, and don't think we've only got your fingerprints - so don't dare think of f****** up. You're going to work over time and weekends, and you're going to like it, otherwise it's the 'deep end'!" the commenter wrote.
