Lahore - The Secretary General of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Liaquat Baloch, has said that the steering committee of Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC) has formulated proposals to block NATO supplies.
These proposals would be presented at the DPC session to be held at Mansoora on May 19.
"The meeting of Chief of Army Staff, Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, Afghan General Sher Muhammad Karimi and NATO forces leader General Allen has deepened the concerns of the nation regarding security and integrity of the country," The Nation quoted Baloch, as saying.
He said the incumbent regime was illegal and unconstitutional, as it had lost its moral right to rule.
"It has no right to determine the destiny of the country," he added.
Baloch, who is also Chairman of Steering Committee of Difa-e-Pakistan Council, suggested that DPC might stage a long march or sit-in at all routes of NATO supply and would leave no stone unturned to block the supply.
Baloch warned the rulers to refrain from taking any cowardly decision, as the nation would go to any extent to block NATO supply routes, and expressed deep concern over Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar's statement regarding restoration of NATO supply.
