In a huge sigh of relief for Indian boxer Vijender Singh, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) announced on Tuesday that the boxer has tested negative in the drug test.
Islamabad - Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza's ruling pertaining to the reference of his disqualification was final and could not be challenged.
Gilani said he would not take the opposition's threats seriously, adding that it was constituted of people who had "nothing better to do than misleading people", reports the Daily Times.
He said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan were not members of parliament and therefore could not understand its importance.
Gilani added that parliament could not be "held hostage" by a handful of people.
"The prime minister is not important, it is parliament and the system that is important," Gilani was quoted, as saying.
