At least 15 militants killed in Pakistan

At least six militants were killed in the mountain region of upper Dir area at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and some nine militants died in Orakzai agency after their hideouts were air-bombed by Pakistani security forces Thursday, Dawn reported.

In the first instance, six militants were killed in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province by security forces after the latter were attacked from the other side of the border.

In another incident, Pakistan security force jet bombed suspected militant hideouts in an area in Orakzai that killed nine militants, a senior official said.
