Peshawar - The Peshawar High Court has directed the counsel for former president Pervez Musharraf to thoroughly study international laws pertaining to drone strikes to help the court declare a proper verdict.

Chief Justice Khan, while was hearing a writ petition filed by Advocate FM Sabir against drone incursions, said the U.S. has admitted that there is collateral damage as a result of unmanned strikes, reports The Express Tribune.

He also expressed concern over non-implementation of a resolution, denouncing deadly assaults despite its passage by the parliament last year.

"The president, prime minister, head of the armed forces, cabinet, parliament, all condemn these strikes. Then why are they not acting (against the attacks)?" the CJ asked.

Deputy Attorney-General Iqbal Mohmand told the court that the defence ministry had categorically denied any secret agreement with the U.S., adding that an affidavit of the ministry with a denial statement had been submitted to the court.
