Pregnant 'Dark Knight' shooting victim now suffers miscarriage

Washington - A pregnant woman, who took a bullet to the stomach and lost her six-year-old daughter in the Colorado shooting incident, has suffered a tragic miscarriage.

Ashley Moser was eight weeks pregnant when James Holmes burst into a cinema theatre in Aurora, Colorado, and opened fire, killing 12 people and injuring 58 others during the screening of the latest Batman movie 'The Dark Knight Rises'.

Earlier reports said Moser's baby was safe in her womb and hailed it as a 'miracle'.

But Moser's family said that she suffered a miscarriage after undergoing surgery related to her neck and abdomen wounds, The New York Daily News reports.

Moser's daughter, Veronica Moser-Sullivan, was the youngest person killed in the attack on July 20.
