Baghdad -  At least seven people were killed and four injured Tuesday in separate gunfire and bomb attacks in central and northern Iraq, police said.

In Baghdad, two Iraqi soldiers were killed when gunmen attacked their car in Naariya district in Baghdad, Xinhua quoted an interior ministry source as saying.

In a separate incident, Ahmed Tofiq, an employee of the Iraqi ministry of justice was gunned down in a drive-by shooting by armed men while driving on a highway in Baghdad's Jamia district.

In addition, Abdul Satar Balasm, an employee of agriculture ministry, was killed when gunmen attacked his car in Amil district in Baghdad, the source added.

In Iraq's Salahudin province, a motorcycle packed with explosives went off in the city of Baiji, some 200 km north of Baghdad, killing one civilian and wounding four others, said a provincial police source.

In Mosul, 400 km north of Baghdad, two police officers were killed, one of them a colonel, in two separate attacks, police said.
