Lahore -  A Hindu family residing in Pakistan has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to rescue their son who has been arrested "illegally" by the police, failing which they  would leave the country.

Krishan Chandar, a former minority union councillor (UC) from Sukkur alleged that during his tenure as a councilor, he had accused the local police of sponsoring drug businesses, and sale  of poisonous liquor in the area, which had killed his two other sons, Sunil and Shalinder, reports the Daily Times.

"On the third day of Shalinder's death on August 7, police entered my house without search warrants and arrested my elder son, Jatindar, in a liquor case," he said in his letter to the CJP.

"If something bad happens to my son, Sukkur police will be responsible for it," Krishan said.
