Lady Gaga's 'five-hour' dinner date with Assange at London's Ecuador embassy

London - Pop Star Lady Gaga paid a visit to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.

The singer reportedly spent five hours in Assange's refuge in west London.

According to the Daily Mail, she had arrived at 7pm local time and it's believed she had dinner with the 41-year-old Australian activist.

Her visit came as nine celebrities who acted as Assange's bail sureties have been ordered to hand over a total of 93,500 pounds.

Assange has been holed up Ecuador's embassy since June 19 after going there to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted to face questioning over allegations of rape and sexual assault.

He fears that if he is extradited to Sweden, he will be sent to the US to face interrogation over the work published by his whistle-blowing website.
