Seemingly unfazed at being ousted from the Asian Athletics Association, scam-tainted Suresh Kalmadi on Monday said losing the presidential re-election bid to Qatars Dahlan Jumaan Al-Hamad has actually given him a chance to work at the grassroots level.
I have no issues today and I congratulate Mr Al-Hamad for being elected as President. I am rather relieved that I will be able to work at the grassroots level in athletics, Mr. Kalmadi said after losing the vote during the ongoing AAA Congress in Pune.

Washington -  A majority of Americans do not approve of how the White House has handled the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, but don’t believe there was a cover up, according to a new poll.

A new CNN poll found that nearly 54 percent Americans are unhappy with the White House’s handling of Benghazi, while only 40 percent are satisfied.
When Americans were asked if they believe the White House lied or engaged in a cover up, 54 percent said that inaccurate initial statements from the White House were based on the best knowledge they had at the time, Politico reports.

According to the poll, nearly 40 percent believe there was a cover up.
Forty-eight percent believe the U.S. could have prevented the attack, and 42 percent think it could not have been stopped, the report added.

Meanwhile, Americans are split in their opinion of David Petraeus’s resignation as CIA director following an extramarital affair.

The poll found that nearly 48 percent Americans believe it was the right thing to do, while 48 percent opposed the move.

At the same time, 44 percent believe the White House handled the resignation well, while 44 percent don’t approve of the administration’s handling of the episode.
