Britain's most wanted fugitive Moat commits suicide

London(ANI): Britain's most wanted fugitive Raoul Moat has shot himself after a six-hour stand-off with armed officers in Rothbury, Northumberland.
According to The Sun, he shot himself at He shot himself at 1.15am and was rushed to Newcastle General Hospital by armed convoy, but he was pronounced dead at 0220 BST on Saturday morning.

Moat had been on the run for nearly a week since blasting his ex-girlfriend, Sam Stobbart, and killing her new lover Chris Brown.
Police had been negotiating with Moat, who was cornered close to a river in Rothbury after a week-long manhunt.
"When he was discovered he was armed. Expert negotiators were brought in to speak to him and spoke to him extensively for several hours," Chief Superintendent Mark Dennett of Northumbria Police said.
Witnesses heard three shots ring out soon after 1a.m. and this was followed by frantic shouting.
"I saw police negotiators suddenly pull quickly away from the scene. Then, it all lit up with lights," an eyewitness said.
"There was a bang and a lot of shouting. Then, we saw blue lights from police cars arriving," he added.
Bob Herdman could see the stand-off from his home and said that he watched Moat being taken away in an ambulance.
