UAE sends aid to flood-hit areas in Pakistan

Abu Dhabi, (IANS/WAM) - The United Arab Emirates has ordered urgent delivery of relief to displaced people in Pakistan's flood-hit region.

The relief materials to be dispatched include blankets, tents, medical items and foodstuff.

According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 400 people were killed and over 500,000 others have been affected by the floods which devastated several areas of Pakistan.
